Professional and amateur divers from all over the world voted for Dressel Divers Cozumel as the best diving center in Mexico, classifying it in sixth place in the worldwide ranking.

 On November 15, 2019, Dive magazine announced the results of the 2019 Travel Awards during the “DEMA Show”. These prizes are awarded in accordance with the telematic voting of this prestigious magazine’s readers in relation to three categories:

  • The Best Dive Centers and Resorts in the World.
  • The Best Scuba Diving Destinations in the World.
  • The Best Scuba Diving Liveaboards in the World.

After a long 6 voting months, divers from all over the world have chosen Dressel Divers Cozumel as the sixth-best dive center in the world. An excellent result if we consider that more than 470 diving centers all over the world were fighting for the recognition of readers.In addition, Dressel Divers Cozumel is the divers’ preferred dive center for all of those who visit Mexico to practice their favorite sport. They place us at the head of this Central American country ranking as the best of the best Mexican diving centers. High quality diving, the good service and the wide offer of Dressel Divers distinguish it from its competitors, the divers know it and this is the proof.  This fact is even more important if we consider that Mexico is ranked third in the scuba diving destinations category.

2019 is the third year in a row in which Dive magazine holds its Travel Awards. Little by little, these prizes are becoming the reference awards of the sector. Resorts, companies and liveaboard diving experiences see in them a showcase that gives recognition to their work.

This edition its voting period for nominations was opened on May 1 and closed on June 30. During the two-month voting period, more than 4,500 divers from around the world were able to freely choose their favorites from the three categories of the contest. Dive magazine developed an appropriate system to prevent voting fraud, which further validates the results.  In total: 78 destinations, 215 liveaboards, and 470 dive centers were nominated.

A new voting period was opened from 1 July to 31 October. During these three months, Dive magazine’s readers supported their favorites among the top 25 in each category. In this second phase, a total of 20,000 votes decided the winners. Finally, the magazine announced the winners at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando, Florida, home to the 2019 edition of the DEMA Show.

A total of 20.000 votes from around the world freely choose their favorites dive centers.
