Scuba Diving Career – FAQs

Is this an internship?

No. It’s a professional training dive career program. This is for people who want to live off diving, not just volunteer for free dives.

It’s a hands-on training experience designed to build a real dive career from scratch. You’ll go from Open Water to Dive Instructor, gaining real-life experience, certifications, and the confidence to work as a pro diver anywhere in the world. This scuba diving career program is about action, not just theory.

When does the program start?

Right after you’re accepted and enrolled. We don’t wait around for January or September—we train future dive pros all year long. The sooner you’re in, the sooner your new life begins.

What’s included in the price?

You get everything: dive training, gear use, workshops, accommodation, meals, excursions, and support. Your dive career should start strong, and we make sure it does.

Where does the training take place?

Your scuba diving career starts in Playa del Carmen, where everything begins.
From there, you can continue your training in Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, or stay in Mexico.

How long does it take to complete the dive career training?

It depends on your starting level, but the complete dive career path (from Open Water to Instructor) usually takes around 18 weeks . It’s immersive, intense, and 85% practical, just the way a real scuba diving career should be.

Will I get a job after the dive career program?

Our alumni work all over the world. Many stay with us at Dressel Divers. We don’t promise a job, we deliver a career.

Who is this dive career program for?
