The GO Green Experience, Beyond Diving.

On December 1st, 50 persons set aside their idyllic vacations in Montego Bay to do something for the planet.

The Climate Change Summit held in Madrid (Spain) concludes that in 2030 we will not have room for action. The damages will be irreversible. Each person has a moral obligation to transmit to future generations the awareness that we are not the center of the earth.

The planet has to satisfy our consumerist desires and needs but we must seek coexistence, balance, harmony and respect.

Let’s live in harmony as we did  in Jamaica. Being committed to the environment does not imply an additional effort just a change of attitude, a change of habits.

People from different countries joined together to collect ocean debris that reaches the beaches by sea currents. A few people picked up what many did not and are still not doing.

We were collecting waste and we took the opportunity to raise environmental awareness, we enjoyed snorkeling without losing the perspective of what our mission was. Finally,  as gratitude for the effort we all joined together a barbecue where we shared our concerns and we had the opportunity to meet new people.

Day 1 in Jamaica was magical. People of all nationalities, foreigners and locals joined for a greater good. Dressel Divers through Go Green offered an experience that goes beyond diving. This action brought people together and gave them a greater feeling: Pride.

We are used to listen to we do not have PLANET B which it is true and time is running out. The first of December, GO Green community put it grain of sand.

I would like to encourage everyone to be an example for others but especially with ourselves. Let’s be as strong for the conservation of the Earth as we are with our principles. Climate change is not a posture, it is not a fad, it must be a moral commitment.
