From Punta Cana, we transfer by bus to the south coast of the Dominican Republic, the area of Bayahibe.
Bayahibe is pure Caribbean!  There, at the splendid Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus hotel, DRESSEL DIVERS has another Diving Center that serves as base of operations. Our boats that leave to the different islands of this area: Saona Island, Catalina Island and Catalinita Island, depart from there.
The excursions to each of these Islands offer the opportunity to enjoy 2 fantastic  dives.
You also get to enjoy a typical local lunch at a secluded tropical beach.


CATALINA Island

CATALINA is a precious island with white sandy beaches, near the southeast coast of the Dominican Republic. It’s a protected Natural Park, where of course, there are no buildings of any kind.
The secluded beach we visit is completely sheltered from the wind; hence the sea is always absolutely calm. It will just be us on this private beach!

A rock chain forms a natural flowering in the sea of about 500 meters. If you dreamed a Caribbean paradise, you will find it right there.
One of the best dive spots in the Dominican Republic is the spectacular Wall. From the beach, a soft slope leads to the impressive wall that drops to more than 100 meters / 330 feet, with two impressive ledges at 25 mtrs / 83 feet and at 40 mtrs / 132 feet. The whole slope from the beach to the wall is and authentic garden of corals and fauna, a platform of thousands of square meters at less then an average depth of 3 meters, ideal for snorkelling. Possibly being the best place in the Caribbean for this activity. Every centimetre of this sea bottom is covered with sponges and coral. The end of our dive will be exceptional. The stretch back to the boat coming from The Wall is unique. Undoubtedly, it is a perfect place to conduct our safety stop.
If you dreamed a Caribbean paradise, you will find it right there.
Another spot is The Aquarium. The name says it all. There are incredible coral formations awaiting you with loads of fish. During the whole year, the climatological conditions of the surface in this area guarantee you a dive without difficulties, going down to approximately 14 meters / 46 feet.

Between the 2 dives we will enjoy a wonderful private beach where a buffet will be installed for lunch (local cuisine).  You can also lie down on the beach and enjoy the incomparable natural beauty of the place.

Ah! Let’s not forget the fun return trip by boat, during which we will be able to have a drink to rhythm of Caribbean tunes, the final touch to this marvellous excursion. Our crew will ensure a good time.

                  

SAONA Island

The reefs of Saona are also considered to be some of the best in the Dominican Republic.
Most of this island is also part of a Protected Natural Park, (Park of the East), and has no construction (and we trust never will) to deteriorate its exuberant beauty: it is absolutely virgin.
Among the most famous sites are: La Parguera, Cacon, El Faro, El Canal, Palmilla, El Penon and many more that we are discovering at present exclusively for you, since the diving/snorkelling on this island is inexhaustible and recently discovered.
You will see infinity of submarine species among which: nurse sharks, green moray eels or lobsters.
There are enormous sponge formations where you will discover huge crabs and schools of fish of different species. The trumpet fish, trying to change colour between the branches of the coral formations, or the balloon fish, or the spotted eagle ray, etc.  Lovely dive companions… don’t you think?

We guarantee that you will love this island and its astounding reefs.
During the trip back, also to the rhythm of a cool drink and meringue music, we will make a stop in the famous ´natural swimming pool´ located in the middle of the sea, close to the coast, where you can get of the boat and walk or sit on the sandy bottom.
While you enjoy your favourite drink, insure not too tread on any large starfish, as there are many on the bottom.

CATALINITA Island

This Island also belongs to the Park of the East, a protected natural reserve. It is a small virgin
The first dive is on Shark Point, famous because of the large size marine life.
In the Dominican Republic some species tend to be enormous, of abnormal dimensions!  Dolphins, several species of sharks, turtles, eagle rays and other Atlantic ray’s common to this area.
Also in this area we will visit one of the best underwater landscapes of the country that you will be unable to forget.
For our lunch we will take you to the Island of Saona.
In the afternoon, we will dive and explore places that are also unrepeatable, comparable to those of the morning.

BAYAHIBE Day and night

In the afternoon we organize a trip by bus to the Hotel Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus, in the Bayahibe area, for a true adventure.

First we will dive the "Saint Georges" wreck, undoubtedly one of the best dives in the Dominican Republic, for lovers of undersea adventure.

Our guides will show you all it's mysteries without exposing you to any risks whatsoever.

As a second dive, a night dive on the reefs of Bayahibe that, if magnificent during the day, at night are even more so, allowing us to discover a fauna in full activity.

The night allows us to discover a completely different world to the one we visit during daytime, with a rich variety of species that rest during day. We will appreciate better the range of colours of the sea bottom. A unique adventure in an incomparable setting.

Dinner will take place in a restaurant along the calm Caribbean shore line, where we will be able to share our dive experiences lived that day or any other that our diver friends want to share. We will see when we feel like going back to the hotel . don't you agree ?
